Egret by the Pond

Bear and I went riding bicycles again today. I didn't expect to see as many birds as we did. This egret, and a grey bird that might have been a heron, and a mama duck with about nineteen ducklings.
I've posted the photo that I used for this below. This piece is entirely digital, using a free program called ArtRage. I used oil paint. Next time I'll do the background first. Putting the water in after the grass sucked.

Wow, Kate, you make mine look like child's play --I guess it was ;D. Excellent.

Thanks so much.

I just couldn't let the program alone after the apples that the others drew, and the tracing paper thing just works so well.

Well done! If you did not mention that this painting is 100% digital, I would not know :)
It looks so real, as if you used acrylic or oil paint.

Thank you to evy and moi. I can't believe how dimensional the paint looks, and it blends great too.

Really nice. It really does not look like a digital painting. I am happy you like artRage.
