I've spent most of the afternoon playing with Painter. The gouache brush makes some nice lines, especially if you try to vary the pressure. I'm still not to the place where I'd like to be, meaning that I'd like to be much more comfortable using the program and my drawing tablet. But, it's getting better.
Painter, about ten minutes, using the gouache fine detail brush, size 5.

Nice to see you jumping into the challenges and enjoying Painter. There are so many tools to explore you may find there aren't enough hours in the day to try them all.
You've inspired me to order Painter today. Next, I have to learn to use it, right? Lovely and graceful little sketch.

I am enjoying it right now. I used to struggle a bit, especially with the slight remove from drawing surface to output, but I'm getting better at that.
