May 1946

I have no idea who these people are. I'm related to them in some way, but I couldn't tell you their names. I took it from my parents photo collection last year because I thought it looked cool.

On the back of the photo, it only says "May 1946" in pencil. That kid could be my mom, who was born in 1940, or my aunt born in 1943. I'm not even sure that if I asked my mom she'd know.

That photo is SO cool, Kate. It looks like the kid is a holographic image being projected from some device on the floor, contrasting so much with the age of the photo and everything in it.

This reminds me of stories I've heard about the early days of the development of photography. A lot of people were freaked out by the images they saw, thought withcraft was involved, some thought the images stole the souls of the subjects being photographs. Blurred images, double exposures, and other mistakes could really look otherworldly.

Thanks for sharing!

In my personal opinion, that isn't a six-year old child, so it's probably your aunt. The child looks about 3 or so.
